Happiness, the search is on.

What is Happiness? Aristotle had a saying “Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence”. What do people view as happiness, I was on a quest to find out. Happiness for some is just like falling in love, taking a hot shower, getting a hug from someone you care about deeply, getting an email or a compliment, walking along the shores of a beautiful beach, cruising or driving on a pretty road, laughing so hard your face hurts.
Lord Buddha had a saying “Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others.” Happiness for different people would be having no lines at the supermarket, getting a special glance from a special person, hearing your favourite song on the radio or in the comfort of your bedroom, lying in bed listening to the rain outside or getting some hot towels fresh out of the dryer or evening enjoying a refreshing chocolate milkshake tingle through the walls of our throat.
Helen Keller had a saying “Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves.” Happiness for others is knowing that somebody misses you, having your friends send you homemade cookies, knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think or just holding hands with someone you care about.
Mohandas K. Gandhi had a saying“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”For some it would be taking a bubble bath, laughing at yourself, smiling, giggling or having mind-blowing or stimulating conversation, doing funny faces at the mirror, finding a 20-pound note in your coat from last winter, making eye contact with a beautiful, sexy hot member of the opposite sex, getting a midnight phone calls that last for hours, dancing in the rain or running through sprinklers.
Picasso had his saying “Everything exists in limited quantity - especially happiness.” Different people laugh for absolutely no reason at all or having someone tell you that you're beautiful or just simply hanging around good friends, accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you or waking up and only to realize that you still have a few hours left to sleep or laughing at an inside joke.

Mark Twain had a saying “The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.” Think about your first kiss, whether it is your very first kiss or with a new partner, watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you making new friends or spending time with old ones or playing with a new puppy.
Sigmund Freud had a saying “What we call happiness in the strictest sense comes from the (preferably sudden) satisfaction of needs which have been dammed up to a high degree.” Happiness for some would be having someone play with your hair, having sweet dreams, sipping a hot chocolate, going for a road trips with friends or making eye contact with a cute stranger or just simply swinging on swings, watching the sunrise or getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day or even running into an old friend and realizing that some things that are good and some things still remain the same, never change.
